There’s no getting away from the fact that we’re all a product of our upbringing and our parents. It just goes to show that family is of critical importance for life and relationships. At Christ Central Presbyterian Church we want to serve our community as we assist in the strengthening of marriages and parenting.

Marriage Course

The Marriage Course
On a regular basis we run ‘The Marriage Course’ which gives couples the opportunity to invest in their most important relationship. The course is designed to help any couple, however short or long they’ve been together, whether they would say they have a great relationship or are experiencing difficulties, or whether you are currently married or not.  The course is run over seven evenings and is a DVD-based presentation, hosted by Nicky and Sila Lee who draw on their own experiences of over 30 years of marriage.  Each session is informative, engaging and fun.

Parenting Course

The Parenting Course
There are two strands we offer for ‘The Parenting Course’ – for those with children 0-10 years of age, and those with teenagers. This five week course, like the Marriage Course is also hosted by Nicky and Sila Lee who’ve been married for over 30 years and have four children and three grandchildren. Nicky and Sila draw on their own experiences, as well as having talked to thousands of parents who they’ve counselled. The Parenting Course is all about providing some fresh insights as well as offering some time-tested values. For any parent there are triumphs as well as mistakes and there are always new things we can learn.

Interested in a Course?
While both courses are based on Christian principles, they’re designed for people with or without a Christian faith. Many people who are not churchgoers have commented that the Christian content was presented in a way that did not make them uncomfortable. We hold these courses once a year, so it’s a good idea to indicate your interest and find out when the next course is on as places can fill up. The courses are held in the Community Hall at Eatons Hill State School.
